Against Haley – Trump wins Republican primaries in Nevada

Date:

Former US President Donald Trump has won the Republican primaries in the US state of Nevada (see video above). This time, voting took place on two different days as the party argued over how to conduct the primaries.

On Tuesday, Trump’s last serious competitor, Nikki Haley, was on the ballot. However, they received fewer votes than for the ‘none of the mentioned candidates’ option. On Thursday, Trump declared his election, and the votes of the delegates were also at stake. Late in the evening (local time), American television channels finally reported that Trump had won the primaries, as expected. They referred to their own predictions.

The next Republican primaries will both take place simultaneously on February 24 in South Carolina. Haley previously served as governor of this state. She also has numerous campaign appearances planned in the coming weeks, even as Trump clearly dominates the race.

Anyone who wants to become a presidential candidate in the US must first win in the parties’ internal primaries. The candidates are officially chosen at party conferences in the summer. The actual presidential elections are scheduled for early November. Everything currently indicates that Trump will face Democrat Joe Biden.
