A dispute in a bar in Sölden in the Tyrolean Ötztal only escalated late on Thursday. Two unknown perpetrators beat a German (38) until he was admitted to hospital. A search for the attackers has so far been unsuccessful.
The incident took place shortly before midnight. There may have been a fight in the nightclub. Fists flew in front of the bar. “Two unknown perpetrators hit the 38-year-old for reasons that are currently unclear,” investigators said.

The victim suffered serious facial injuries. “The perpetrators then fled in an unknown direction.” An immediate police search turned up nothing. After receiving first aid, the German was taken by ambulance to Zams Hospital. Further investigation into the perpetrators will follow.
