The state of Salzburg expects extremely high traffic on the transit routes this coming Whit weekend. All exits along the Tauernautobahn (A10) between Puch-Urstein and Zederhaus will therefore be closed from Friday 3 June to Monday 6 June from 06:00 to 22:00 in order to relieve the burden on the surrounding municipalities.
The measure is intended to prevent holidaymakers from looking for alternative routes through the cities along the highway during traffic jams. Local traffic is exempt from the closures.
More roadblocks
At the same time, there will be road closures in the Flachgau municipalities of Grödig, Wals-Siezenheim, Großgmain, Anif and Elsbethen to avoid detour traffic. The country strongly advises transit vacationers to shut down and stay on the highway.
