“Right now, and as the professionalism of those performing delivery tasks for these platforms is unquestionable, the challenge is to provide them with a protection framework that goes beyond the employee statute and the application of the inter-professional minimum wage,” he said. added.

For this reason, it has announced that it will promote the express regulation of this group in the provincial collective labor agreements for the hotel industry, “guarantee a minimum wage of 1,200 euros” ELA recalled that it has already promoted and reached a first sectoral agreement in the food distribution sector.

The union will also demand that the return of the allowances paid by these people as self-employed personsand will demand that “the lack of contributions” to Social Security “that they should have had as employees” be corrected.
