Serious traffic accident Friday afternoon in Wörgl in Tyrol: a 14-year-old e-scooter driver crashed into a car. The driver looked up for a moment, but then ran away. Now the police are looking for witnesses.
Around 3 p.m., the 14-year-old Syrian rode an e-scooter in the Wörgl district on the sidewalk next to Tirolerstrasse towards the city center. “At the same time, a previously unknown driver drove a black car into the city on Tirolerstrasse and turned onto Vogelweiderstrasse,” police said.
The woman may have overlooked the handlebars of the e-scooter, causing a side impact. “The teenager fell to the ground, the driver of the car looked up briefly and continued driving towards Vogelweiderstrasse,” the investigators said.
Mom called the rescue
The teenager then went home and only later told his mother about the accident, who immediately called the rescue team. He was eventually taken to the hospital in Kufstein with significant injuries.
The Wörgl police (059133/7221) is now looking for the driver of the accident and is asking witnesses for useful information.
