ELA, LAB, CCOO, Steilas and ESK have called for a new strike day to denounce that “there is no political will” to negotiate employment conditions. The unions are demanding, among other things, “a 10% salary increase, which will close the door to privatization and stabilize government employment.”
Labor unions ELA, LAB, CCOO, Steilas and ESK have announced that they are resuming operations mobilizations in the public sector of the CAV and have called on their workers for a new strike day next March 12.
Representatives of these factories reported the call during a public appearance in Bilbao. As they noted, the new call responds to “the lack of political will” to negotiate working conditions in the sector.
The new mobilization is preceded by the strike days that the public sector experienced on October 25 and December 19.
Specifically, these are the claims union:
– A 10% salary increase in 2024 and a commitment to recover previously incurred debts
– Close the door to privatizations and make agreements on publication plans
– Creating and stabilizing government employment, reducing temporary employment to 8%
– Relieve the workload by guaranteeing the health of the staff
– Agree on feminist policies, real and effective plans for equality.

– Reduction of working hours to 32 hours per week
