She is a mother, psychologist, family counselor – Michèle Liussi from Inzing in Tirol knows the pitfalls of raising children. She advises parents to have more courage to be imperfect and explains in a book which promises should not be made to children under the age of six.
Michèle Liussi is sitting in her office in the “Early Help Tirol” advice center. Since last year, the Red Cross Organization has been active throughout Tyrol. The demand is enormous. Pregnant women and parents with children up to three years old come here. “We notice that the costs are increasing. On the one hand, this has to do with problems such as inflation,” reports psychologist Liussi, “but also with extremely high demands that mothers and fathers place on themselves. Social media creates a sense of perfectionism that you cannot live up to.”
