On Monday, a 34-year-old man forcibly gained entry to a woman’s apartment in the Maxglan district of Salzburg. The 42-year-old was present together with an acquaintance (49). The robber demanded money, threatened the two and fired a signal gun, but missed the robbery victims.
Projectile hit window behind burglar victim
The projectile shattered a window behind the woman and the man. The perpetrator then dropped the weapon and ran away. Based on information, the police were able to arrest him with two patrols shortly after the crime. The resident and the 49-year-old man were unharmed.
The 34-year-old has been reported to the Salzburg public prosecutor’s office for attempted aggravated robbery. The investigation is ongoing.
