A 38-year-old Syrian was arrested by police in the city of Salzburg on Sunday evening because of his aggressive driving style. The subsequent driver and vehicle inspection revealed several violations.
License plate stolen
The driver’s alcohol test was negative, but a rapid saliva test tested positive for cocaine. A clinical examination was refused. In addition, the man could not show a valid driver’s license or prove that he had a driver’s license. The car he was driving was also not registered for traffic.
Investigation revealed that the license plates mounted on the vehicle had been reported stolen. The 38-year-old Syrian has now been reported to the relevant authorities.
