According to the Syrian Ministry of Defense, the projectiles were launched from the Golan Heights and hit a residential building in the Kafr Sousa neighborhood of Damascus. In addition to the two deaths, a third person was injured.

The Syrian Ministry of Defense stated in a statement on its account on the social network Facebook that “the Israeli enemy has carried out an attack with several rockets launched from the occupied Golan Heights“.
For example, he indicated that the attack hit “a residential building in the Kafr Susa neighborhood,” before specifying that “the attack resulted in the death of two civilians and one injuredas well as property damage to the affected building and several nearby buildings.”
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, in turn, has highlighted that the building is located near the Iranian College in the capital and added that “high ranks” of the Lebanese Shia party militia Hezbollah and the Iranian Revolutionary Guards ‘visit the area’.
