It was like a movie. As reported, on the morning of December 13, 2023, banknotes suddenly “danced through the air” at the Avanti gas station on the B171 in Rum. The next day, a local woman came to Rum police station and declared that the money was hers. According to police, she actually forgot her wallet or money on the roof of the car, causing the bills to fly through the air as she drove away. Of course, she did not get the approximately 1,000 euros back. According to the police, they could not prove at the scene that they were actually hers. “The money was handed over to the court,” a police spokesperson told the “Krone”.
No reason to doubt the women’s version
Subsequently, the case has been held at the Innsbruck Regional Court since mid-December. More than two months later the good news came for the loss maker. The lady gets her money back; there is no reason not to believe it belongs to her, the regional court said on Tuesday.
