After the brutal murder of three young Asian women in an erotic studio on Vienna’s Engerthstrasse, more and more details are coming to light. The suspect is in custody, he hid in bushes not far from the crime scene. He had the bloody murder weapon with him.
What happened in the small Asia Studio is currently the subject of an investigation by the State Criminal Investigation Department. The state police headquarters initially did not provide information on the nationality or age of the victims.
Young Asian women brutally slaughtered
The young Asian women had apparently worked at the establishment, but were also available for hotel and home visits. The police crime scene group was involved in securing evidence on Saturday evening and the crime scene was cordoned off over a wide area. As the spokesman for the State Police Directorate, Philipp Haßlinger, explained not far from the crime scene, the bodies had massive stab and cut wounds.
Suspect discovered in bushes
In this case, an urgent suspect is a 27-year-old man who was tracked down in the bushes opposite the red light bar by officers from the riot unit and the Brigittenau city police command. The man, who suffered minor cuts, was arrested and taken to hospital. He was probably the last visitor to the club – whether he had used services there or immediately attacked the women with a knife is currently completely unclear.
Police were alerted at 9 p.m. by a passerby or neighbor who noticed a trail of blood stretching from the bar’s entrance to the other side of the street. The emergency services found the 27-year-old there. “He wanted to hide in a bush and had a knife in his hand,” Haßlinger reported. All medical assistance came too late for the three victims of the violent act. The police have not provided any information about the possible course of events and a possible motive. The suspect has not yet been formally interrogated as a suspect.
Hospitalized
The injuries for which he was taken to a hospital accident department were probably self-inflicted during the fights with the women, who were said to have at least partially defended themselves.
