No technical defect
The fire brigade was able to remove all three people from the home. The child’s mother was resuscitated and taken to the Schwarzach Clinic, where she died a short time later, the police said in a press release.
The fire started on the ground floor. The 33-year-old father and 14-month-old son suffered minor injuries from the smoke. The police investigation into the cause of the fire was still ongoing. According to the initial findings, it is unlikely that there is a technical defect, the APA said.
