Russian attacks hit Ukraine again on Monday evening. At least two people were killed.
“As a result of an airstrike, two people were killed – a couple who were at home,” the government of the Sumy region in northern Ukraine told Telegram on Monday morning. Guided aerial bombs were dropped during the attack. The central Ukrainian industrial region of Dnipropetrovsk reported that four people were injured by drone fire.
Two men aged between 41 and 49, a 20-year-old and a 60-year-old, were taken to hospital, military governor Serhiy Lyssak said. The strikes damaged ten private homes and several vehicles in the regional capital Dnipro. In the region, the city of Nikopol was also shelled by Grad drones, artillery and multiple rocket launchers. Nikopol is located on the Dnipro River and is often the target of Russian attacks – on the other side, Russian troops occupy, among other things, the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant.
Grain silos were also affected
According to military governor Oleh Synyehubov, the town of Pisochyn was shelled with repurposed S-300 anti-aircraft missiles in the Kharkov region of northeastern Ukraine. Two grain silos and agricultural machinery were hit. In other cities there was damage from drones and aerial bombs.
According to the Ukrainian air defense, the country was attacked during the night with Iskander-M ballistic missiles, S-300 anti-aircraft missiles, anti-radar missiles, cruise missiles and drones. Nine of the 14 drones and all three Ch-59 cruise missiles were intercepted, the report said.
