There is great excitement among parents in Böheimkirchen in the St. Pölten district. Three men allegedly approached several students to lure them into a white van. The police responded to the incidents with an increased presence. The ‘all-clear’ has now been given.
After school ended on Tuesday afternoon, several students from the primary school in Kasten near Böheimkirchen went to the nearest bus stop. A white van reportedly stopped in the immediate vicinity. According to the children, there were three men inside wearing dark clothing. At least one of them was wearing a cap, another had curly hair and a checked shirt.
One of these strangers allegedly approached the boys and girls and asked if they wanted chocolate or other sweets. Primary school students were also told that their school bus would be an hour late, but that they wanted to take it home.
“Take incidents very seriously”
However, according to the police, the children responded exemplary and rejected the ‘offer’. The van then drove away in an unknown direction. At least two mothers reported the incident shortly afterwards. The officers contacted the school board. “We take such incidents very seriously and will patrol schools more often,” local police said.
