The humidity makes the atmosphere a huge source of fresh water that can be tapped with Atmospheric Water Generators (AWGs) for water production. The current AWGs on the market are often too small to generate enough water or too complex. The Upper Austrian company Imhotep.Industries GmbH has developed a mobile atmospheric water generator, so without a CO2 footprint.
The mobile water giant Phantor represents the missing link in atmospheric water generators and repeatedly sets new standards in mobile water production and water treatment. It can supply fresh water to an entire residential building, a hotel or even a hospital. In many areas, such a solution is often more economical than installing a water pipe. The Phantor 10000 can extract up to 10,000 liters of drinking water from the air every day. The smaller model, the Phantor 6000, can, as the name suggests, generate 6000 liters of water.
The Freistadt-based company is revolutionizing water production
The company from Freistadt in Upper Austria achieves pioneering success in the field of water production. This innovation from Imhotep.Industries GmbH, a spin-off of the Neoom Group, could mark a turning point in the sustainable water supply. “The global water shortage was once again painfully brought to our attention this summer,” says Neoom director Walter Kreisel.
According to Imhotep’s Manfred Ledermüller, the water generator can be delivered in a container and thus produce drinking water on site. The challenges will continue to increase in the future due to climate change.

The Phantor, which includes two Linz models so far, is on a global mission. In recent months and years he has successfully completed assignments in cities such as Berlin, Singapore and Dubai, winning prestigious awards such as the “Green Award” and the “German Innovation Award”. Even the Hawaii State Emergency Department is interested in 100 Phantor devices. It is important for entrepreneurs to improve access to clean drinking water worldwide.
