Shocking incidents are said to have taken place in an apartment in Vienna-Simmering in recent months: a man is said to have sexually abused his wife and beaten the eldest children (seven and nine years old). When the suspect also grabbed the knife on Saturday, his 29-year-old wife reported the incident to the police.
It was Saturday afternoon when the 29-year-old filed a report at a police station in Simmering. The 34-year-old Romanian allegedly picked up a knife in their shared apartment that morning and threatened her with it. The victim also said she was beaten and threatened several times by her husband over a year.
Eldest children beaten by father
Further investigation also revealed that there was also sexual violence against the 29-year-old and violence against the eldest children (woman 7, man 9). Officials found the suspect at his home address on Saturday – he was immediately questioned. He was also banned from entering and approaching the building, as well as a temporary weapons ban.
“The man partially confessed to the accusations,” the LPD Vienna said on Sunday. He was reported in general on behalf of the Vienna Public Prosecutor’s Office.
