That could have been much worse: On Sunday evening, the local driver (55) of a car in Sölden in the Tyrolean Ötztal could not avoid a pedestrian (23). There was a collision with the exterior mirror. But the 23-year-old was still injured.
The accident happened shortly before 6 p.m. The 55-year-old was driving his car on the B186 in Sölden. “He saw a 23-year-old pedestrian from the Netherlands coming to the side of the road,” investigators said. Because a bus was coming towards the driver, he could no longer avoid it, which resulted in a collision.
Taken to the doctor by ambulance
A blessing in disguise: only the car’s exterior mirror hit the pedestrian. Still, he suffered injuries. The rescue effort took the 23-year-old to a nearby doctor.
