A gun shop in Knittelfeld (Murtal district) was broken into on Sunday evening: several pistols were stolen. An initial search for the perpetrators was unsuccessful.
On Sunday around 11:30 p.m., the acoustic alarm went off in the store in the center of Knittelfeld. The perpetrators broke the padlock on the barrier in front of the entrance door and smashed the security glass on the door. In the sales area, the unknown suspects destroyed a glass display case and, according to the police, stole six different brands of pistols from it.
An immediately launched manhunt by the executive branch has so far yielded negative results. The investigations are ongoing. According to police spokesman Reinhard Gartner, the perpetrators acted very deliberately.
