The Madrid Public Prosecutor’s Office has demanded 4 years and 9 months in prison against the coach of the Real Madrid football team Carlo Ancelotti for alleged fraud against the Treasury of more than a million euros in the financial years 2014 (386,361 euros) and 2015 (675,718 euros).

As the Public Prosecution Service reported this Wednesday, the Public Prosecution Service has charged him two crimes against the treasurysince, although Ancelotti declared that he was a tax resident of Spain and indicated that his place of residence was in Madrid, he included in his tax returns only the personal work remuneration received from Real Madrid and the achievements related to the exploitation of its image of Real Madrid withheld rights that it had transferred to other entities.

In its letter, the Public Prosecutor emphasizes that “in order to avoid taxes on the income from the said image rights”, both those received by Real Madrid and other brands for various events, the coach turned to a “complex” and “confusing” network. of trusts and companies filed to channel the collection of image rights.
