A 10-year-old girl and her mother were arrested Tuesday evening in the US state of Florida after the girl shot and killed a 41-year-old woman with her mother’s gun. The two women had previously argued.
The background to the argument is unknown. The incident happened just before midnight Monday, according to local media. The later victim celebrated Memorial Day in her apartment with friends. In the course of this, a dispute may have arisen. The drunk mother not only verbally assaulted the 41-year-old, but also beat her.
Mother handed daughter bag with gun
As the situation escalated further, the mother handed her 10-year-old daughter’s handbag containing a gun. The daughter would then have drawn the gun and pulled the trigger. The 41-year-old who was shot died moments later in hospital from her serious injuries.
The 31-year-old mother now has to defend herself in court for child neglect and manslaughter. She’s in jail without bail.
