Arrest in Bad Ischl – thieving asylum seeker (23) bit two sellers

In a clothing store in Bad Ischl, a young Syrian from Vienna was spotted by employees trying to leave the store with stolen goods. When they tried to prevent him from escaping with the loot, he became violent. He injured two salespeople and bit their forearms.

The attempt to prevent a thief from escaping until the police arrived ended painfully for two employees of a shop in Bad Ischl. The 23-year-old Syrian from Vienna had stolen clothing and sports equipment and was arrested.

When sellers confronted him about his crime, the young man became aggressive. He turned around and tried to pile up the loot. Ultimately, the employees managed to hold him until the police arrived. Two of them were bitten on the forearm.

The police temporarily arrested the angry asylum seeker. After consultation with the public prosecutor, he was transferred to Wels prison. The young man initially refused to comment on the thefts.
