Claudia Astner has been a teacher for 27 years. She currently teaches a special education class at a high school in Vienna. “These are small classes for socially and emotionally stressed children. Part of our teaching concept is also close collaboration with parents, who commit to regular conversations,” says the 52-year-old. These children can no longer be taught in a large group, there are many reasons for this. But they are all victims or perpetrators of some form of violence.
