A dangerous incident occurred at the Kagraner Platz U1 station in Vienna on Friday afternoon. When the subway started moving, a twelve-year-old boy suddenly fell with his leg between the moving train and the platform.
Although police say the subway driver had routinely checked the rearview mirror before taking off, the accident still occurred. Only when the subway started moving did the teenager lose his balance and fall.

His leg became briefly trapped between the edge of the platform and the moving train. The twelve-year-old received first aid from the Vienna Professional Rescue Service and was taken to a hospital. Platform 2 of the Kagraner Platz metro station was closed for about an hour.
