Children and Adolescents – At what point do painkillers make headaches worse?

Date:

Headache – who doesn’t know it? It is especially unbearable when it occurs chronically. Frightening: According to a recent study, children and young people in Tyrol are taking too many painkillers – this can have fatal consequences.

There is a throbbing, hammering or stabbing sensation in the head. The pain spreads and you can hardly concentrate. This is usually followed by taking a headache tablet, but this can have devastating consequences. This is evident from a survey throughout Austria. This has shown that 14 to 19 year olds from Tyrol with headaches take too many painkillers, especially if they suffer from chronic headaches, i.e. headaches that occur for at least three months with at least 15 episodes per month.
