These are real heroes! Using heavy breathing equipment, the professionals of the Wels fire brigade saved a tenant from suffocation in a kitchen fire on the eleventh floor of a high-rise building on Tuesday afternoon. The 75-year-old had probably collapsed unconscious in the front room while fleeing the flames.
The Welsh police were called to an apartment fire on Tuesday around 3:30 p.m. Upon arrival, smoke was visible on the 11th floor of the building. The fire brigade rescued people with heavy breathing apparatus and then carried out an initial extinguishing action in the apartment in question.
Door was broken open
This required forcing the door of the apartment. The fire brigade rescued the 75-year-old resident, who was lying unconscious on the floor in the front room of the apartment. She was injured to an unspecified degree and was taken to the Wels Clinic after emergency medical care.
The fire brigade then extinguished the fire in the area of the kitchen and the glazing of the loggia of the apartment.
