Fleet-wide problem? – Boeing: “Sitting movements” responsible for 50 injuries

Date:

According to a report, while investigating the sudden descent of a Boeing Dreamliner, the pilot’s seat and the pilot’s seat movements came to the attention of investigators. The possibility of an electrical short circuit is also being investigated.

“The movement of the seat caused the plane to tilt downward,” trade magazine Air Current reported on Wednesday, citing a senior airline safety official.

Presumably a problem for the entire fleet
A test report said the Airbus rival would inform 787 operators about the incident. This could indicate that it is a fleet-wide problem.

Boeing declined to comment on the report when asked by Reuters news agency and instead referred it to investigating authorities.

At least 50 people were injured Monday when a Latam Airlines Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner suddenly sank during a flight from Sydney to Auckland, New Zealand.
