Bizkaibus employees announced last week that they would go on strike on March 19. They denounce “the recurrence and increase in severity” of physical and verbal attacks on employees.
The template Euskotren has decided to join the strike called by Bizkaibus next March 19 to denounce the “repetition” of physical and verbal attacks on employees, as well as the “increase in severity” of these types of acts. The unions ELA, LAB, CCOO, UGT and CGT-ESK have unanimously decided to join the protest.
The secretary of the Euskotren works council, Isusko Flores (ELA) has explained that they share the reasons put forward by Bizkaibus for declaring the strike. The employees of all services that Euskotren offers in the BAC are called upon to strike
The Bizkaibus Commission pointed out last week that these violent situations are not unique to Bizkaibus and called on the staff of Bilbobus, Metro Bilbao and Euskotren to join this strike day.
The unions say that for years they have been denouncing the “increase in physical attacks” and the “normalization of insults”, as well as the “disrespect”.
