A few days ago the vehicle was finally found in an underground parking garage in St. Johann. The driver, a 21-year-old from Pongau, quickly confessed. He admitted that he did not get a license plate for his car and therefore stole the plates.

He committed the speeding violation because he thought a civilian police patrol was following him. After noticing that the radar measurement was activated, he threw the stolen license plates into the Salzach and then parked the car in the underground parking garage.
