The days of LIVA and Brucknerhaus boss Dietmar Kerschbaum are finally numbered: After gross grievances arose in Linz’s cultural institution, Mayor Klaus Luger (SPÖ) now decides on the director’s future. Even before the meeting, it was clear that the culture manager would be put on leave (and thrown out?).
The list of misconduct criticized by the Linz city council is long: the artistic director of the Brucknerhaus, Dietmar Kerschbaum, is said to have used various constructions during his term in office to line his own pockets – the “OÖ-Krone” reported this.
Today, Friday, the future of the recognized tenor and cultural manager will be decided. But as was heard hours before the meeting, there is virtually no chance for him anymore. From the mayor of Linz and LIVA commissioner Klaus Luger (SPÖ), chairman of the supervisory board, no one believes they can refute the accusations.
