Previously unknown perpetrators made a tasteless joke in Kramsach in the Tyrolean district of Kufstein on Friday evening: they destroyed a martenl and seriously damaged, among other things, a statue of Jesus. Vandals were also active in the Tyrolean Oberland.
According to the police, one or more young people are probably responsible for the crime in Kramsach. They struck between 7 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday during a martyrdom on the access road from Badl to the cycle path. There they tore a wooden figure of Jesus from the cross, broke off both arms of the figure and tore flowers planted around the marten from the troughs. The unknown strangers also spray-painted “obscene writing” in black paint on a wooden bench 200 meters away, police said.
It is currently unclear how much damage the unknown persons have caused. The investigators assume that the vandalism is related to material damage to various ticket machines at the train stations in Rattenberg and Brixlegg.
Witnesses who can provide information about the perpetrators are asked to contact the Kramsach police station (059133 7213).
Spuiter caught with stolen goods and drugs in Imst
In another case of material damage, the police were able to arrest the two suspected perpetrators quite quickly: On Friday afternoon, a 19-year-old and a 25-year-old sprayed graffiti on the highway bridge at the highway exit in Imst. A police patrol was able to arrest the two Austrians shortly afterwards. In the suspect’s car, officers found stolen jewelry of low value, a small amount of cannabis, drug paraphernalia and aerosol cans. They were shown.
