A 41-year-old woman was allegedly raped on Friday evening by a currently unknown perpetrator in the fourth district on Viktorgasse. Police are now asking for information from the public.
The Vienna State Criminal Investigation Department is currently investigating an unknown perpetrator suspected of raping a 41-year-old woman. The victim was allegedly on her way home when a man forced her into the entrance of a garage and raped her.
The woman’s cries for help alerted residents to the crime and the unknown perpetrator fled.

According to police spokesman Philipp Haßlinger, there are also video recordings from close to the crime scene. “The images are currently being stored and subsequently evaluated,” the spokesperson said. Immediate searches were initially unsuccessful. The victim was taken to a hospital. The investigation is ongoing.
Slim and long
According to the description, the suspected perpetrator is approximately 175-180 cm tall and has a slim build. He was wearing black or dark pants, a black or dark hoodie and black sneakers with thick white soles. The man is also said to have had a white plastic carrier bag with him.
