Broadcast canceled – Russian expert reveals Putin’s plan on TV

Date:

In a lecture on Russian state television, one of the experts spoke unusually bluntly about Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin’s plans. Political scientist Aleksandr Sytin emphasized that “no one cares about Ukraine.” “Russia is following a certain expansionary course,” he said. The moderator then canceled the broadcast.

Russia justifies its invasion war in Ukraine by saying, among other things, that the population of Russian origin must be protected against the brutal Ukrainian Nazi regime. But Sytin had apparently forgotten this image. When it came to Moscow’s war plans, the propagandist explained what the task of the “military special operation” really was: “We always talk about Ukraine. Actually, no one cares about Ukraine.”

Expert: Russia’s ‘expansionary course’ is a ‘fact’
“Russia is following a certain expansionist course. “That is a fact,” said the political scientist. “And not just in Ukraine, by the way,” Sytin continued. “The countries of NATO and the EU want to end this course of expansion. How they do that…” At this point the moderator intervened. That is not true, “because this is not expansion, but the defense of national interests and security,” the talk show host repeated the story that the Kremlin also likes to hear.

Moderator directs the show to break
However, Sytin was no longer allowed to answer this. ‘We have to interrupt. We’re back after a break. Short interruption…’ The moderator finally pulled the ripcord.

In last weekend’s presidential election, Putin reportedly received about 88 percent of the vote, but virtually no one believes the result was fairly won. He therefore faces another six-year term. In the 25 years that he has headed the regime, he has led the state in an increasingly autocratic manner. Numerous critics of Putin have died or been arrested under mysterious circumstances.

The result is the best Putin could ever achieve in his career. The turnout at the elections was also a record at more than 74 percent. Putin was undeterred by the allegations of manipulation, stating that the election results showed the “confidence” of the population.
