Russian media have come up with strange propaganda to divert attention from the election farce surrounding Vladimir Putin. On Monday the news reached that British King Charles III. died suddenly.
A fake message from Buckingham Palace was distributed in various Russian media and on Russian social media channels, stating that King Charles had suddenly died.
Highlight videos from 2022
Videos were circulated showing the flag flying at half-mast above the royal palace – traditionally signaling the death of a member of the royal family. However, it soon turned out that the recordings were from 2022, when Charles’ mother, Queen Elizabeth, died.
The British media also reacted very quickly and it became clear that not only was the king doing well, but that false information was deliberately being spread on the World Wide Web. Probably to divert attention from the Russian election farce with which Kremlin boss Putin strengthened his power.
King Charles can be seen on the video on Monday afternoon:

But until it was clear to everyone that this was fake news, a few hours passed, during which the keyword “King Charles” surprisingly rose to number one on Twitter. However, the palace has now even released a video showing the British monarch in good health at an army event.
