At what was probably a very bad moment, an 88-year-old motorist started overtaking on Ladinder Straße in Wolfsberg. He collided head-on with a tractor with a manure tank.
“On Tuesday afternoon, a 49-year-old farmer drove uphill on the Lading municipal road with his tractor and the attached septic tank. At the same time, a 66-year-old man drove his truck through the valley,” police said.
Truck wanted to make way for tractor
An 88-year-old drove his car behind the truck. To allow the tractor approaching him to pass safely on the narrow road, the truck driver steered to the right side of the road. “At that point the 88-year-old driver started to overtake and collided head-on with the tractor.”
The 88-year-old was injured and was taken to LKH Wolfsberg after initial medical treatment. The tractor driver was uninjured. There was only serious damage to the car.
