When a young motorist saw the police officers from Winklern (Carinthia), he drove away at high speed. Shortly afterwards he hit and damaged a parked car. But those weren’t the only crimes.
Late Tuesday afternoon, the teen spotted police on patrol and accelerated. Too much gas. Moments later, he crashed his car into a car parked in a parking lot, seriously damaging it.
Lenker fled on foot
The escape took the driver across meadows, gravel pits and forest roads – but it ended in the forest. The driver and passenger then fled on foot, hid in the impassable terrain and thus evaded the announced alcohol test.
National Socialist writings discovered
The escape may have had a good reason: the 16-year-old does not have a driver’s license, the car is still registered in the name of the previous owner, the license plates come from another vehicle and National Socialist letters were found in the car.
The teen turned himself in to Winklern police that same evening. He has confessed to the crime and will be reported to the Klagenfurt public prosecutor and the Spittal district administration on numerous criminal and administrative provisions.
