A 21-year-old woman from Innviertel (Upper Austria) left the road in Freinberg on Thursday evening and overturned her car. However, the young woman did not call 911, but first called her mother, who initiated the rescue chain. The driver involved in the accident had a blood alcohol content of 1.68.
The 21-year-old from the Schärding district was on Thursday evening around 1:30 am on the L 1154, Saminger Straße from Passau towards Schardenberg. In Freinberg, the driver suddenly left the road – her car overturned and stopped in a meadow.
Mom called the rescue
The 21-year-old was apparently able to free herself from her car and grabbed her cell phone, but did not call 911, instead calling her mother first, according to police. It was this that started the rescue chain.
After initial treatment on site, the rescue team took the injured person to the clinic in Passau. An alcohol test showed 1.68 per mille: The driver’s license has been temporarily revoked.
