A car accident Wednesday night ended relatively lightly for a 64-year-old in Innsbruck. The local came from a forest path and fell with his car about 50 meters down. The man was shocked, but an alcohol test was positive.
The accident happened around 6:30 p.m., according to police. The 64-year-old was driving his car on a forest path in the area of the Höttinger photo when he suddenly went over the edge of the road and fell about 50 meters over steep, impassable terrain into the forest.
Unharmed but drunk
Fortunately, the locals were unharmed. “But he was drunk. His driver’s license was temporarily withdrawn on the spot,” according to the investigators. The vehicle, which was a total loss, was subsequently recovered by the Innsbruck professional fire service.
