From 160 to 80, the civilian patrol stops speeding offenders with a probationary license

An 18-year-old test driver’s license holder drove through a speed zone of 80 on the Völkermarkt at a speed of more than 160 km/h. Behind him was a civilian patrol from the Carinthian State Transport Department.

The young man accelerated his vehicle downhill from the rest area late Friday evening. The civilian patrol followed behind and was able to exceed the local limit of 80 km/h by 85 km/h!

When rolling out at 150 up to the 70s
“As a result, the 18-year-old coasted his vehicle within the 70km/h limit and also exceeded the limit by 80km/h. “He was driving at a speed of 150 kilometers per hour,” police said.

The man was then stopped. Due to the violations, the driver’s license was confiscated on the spot.
