A 49-year-old was injured in a traffic accident in Zell am See on Wednesday afternoon. He drove his car into the oncoming lane and collided with a tractor.
For reasons that are still unclear, the 49-year-old driver drove into the opposite lane on Thumersbacher Landesstraße early in the afternoon on Wednesday. There he collided with an oncoming tractor, driven by a 31-year-old from Pinzgau. The local driver could only be saved with the help of the fire brigade.
The rescue took him to the Tauern Clinic in Zell am See with injuries of an undetermined nature. The tractor driver was uninjured. Thumersbacher Landesstraße had to be completely closed due to the cleaning work.
