There was much excitement Friday about a large-scale police operation in the Korösistrae in the Geidorf district of Graz. It later emerged that an elderly lady had allegedly threatened a social worker during an argument. No one was injured during the operation.
Neighbors and astute “Krone” readers, who reported in large numbers, were surprised when a large contingent of police arrived in the Geidorf district of Graz around 1 p.m. Friday afternoon.
Several patrol cars and Cobra on site
According to readers, about 15 to 20 patrol cars drove into Körösistrasse. Meanwhile, the initially unclear situation in a residential building was assessed by the officers through the window. According to initial information, an elderly woman threatened a social worker with a knife-like object. Because it was difficult to estimate the seriousness of the threat situation, the Cobra was also used when opening the apartment door.
The incident was eventually resolved quickly. No one was injured during the operation and the 80-year-old woman was taken to hospital.
