A serious traffic accident occurred on the L206 in Deutsch Goritz (Southeast Styria district) on Wednesday afternoon. A car driver and her passenger were seriously injured. The rescue operation took the two injured people to the Wagna and Feldbach hospitals.
The 34-year-old Slovenian drove with her 23-year-old passenger (also from Slovenia) from Deutsch Goritz towards Ratschendorf. Shortly after 3 p.m., her car crashed into a bridge railing in the Ratschendorf district for reasons that are still unclear.
The woman was trapped in the car
The 34-year-old was trapped in the car. The fire brigade (Ratschendorf, Gosdorf, Mureck) had to free the woman from the vehicle. Because her injuries were so serious, an alcohol test at the scene of the accident was not possible. The Graz public prosecutor then ordered a blood sample. Further investigation into the accident is being conducted by the Mureck Police Station.
