There is also a “hunt” on social media for an unknown person who caused a serious mountain accident in the Stubai Alps in Tyrol on Saturday. The person even risks a prison sentence.
Flashback to Saturday: Around 11 a.m., an unknown mountaineer apparently fell into a snow-covered gully below the summit of the Zuckerhütl in Neustift. The “Phantom” took five alpinists with it and they slipped about 50 meters. A South Tyrolean woman and her partner (both 27) had to be taken to hospital in Hall of Meran with injuries, while the other three alpinists escaped with little or no shock. The 27-year-old was able to leave the hospital, but her partner suffered a broken lower leg.
The unknown person who caused the accident disappeared after his accident. The Alpine Police would obviously have a lot to discuss with her.
