A spokesperson for the Upper Bavaria South police headquarters confirmed on Tuesday that a 40-year-old man had been arrested. According to the newspaper ‘Bild’, the suspect was once treated by the now murdered doctor.

The man stabbed the doctor with a knife. Despite prompt first aid, the victim could not be saved and succumbed to his serious injuries.
Perpetrator caught by chance
The 40-year-old apparently accidentally ended up in the police net, because a passing patrol noticed suspicious blood traces on the suspect. The man is now in a forensic clinic and is being continuously monitored. He offered no resistance when arrested.
