An extreme speeder was once again taken out of circulation in Lower Austria. The Weener (19) raced on the A1 at no less than 196 km/h on Wednesday. This means that you can get rid of your test driving license again.
The 19-year-old probably didn’t care that the speed limit on the western motorway (A1) was actually only 130 km/h. Because at almost 200 km/h he raced along the road near Purkersdorf (district St. Pölten-Land) towards Vienna. A civilian patrol quickly spotted the speeding violator and noted the increased speed.

Officers immediately drove behind the car and stopped it. The 19-year-old’s probationary driver’s license was temporarily confiscated. The Viennese has been reported to the district administration of St. Pölten, the Lower Austrian police said in a broadcast on Thursday.
Speed rules since March 1
If he had driven faster than 200 km/h, the car might even have been seized. Since March 1, vehicles of speed offenders can be seized on the spot if they are flagrantly exceeded and then auctioned.
