He apparently wanted to kill his partner and then commit suicide: after the relationship drama late Wednesday evening in the Tyrolean Navis (Innsbruck-Land district), the suspected perpetrator (49) has now died in the clinic in Innsbruck.
The police reported this on Friday afternoon. The 49-year-old threatened to commit suicide after a bloody relationship dispute with his partner. Before the police could overpower him, the suspect managed to seriously injure himself with a firearm.
Attacks on the neck
The argument between the couple completely escalated on Wednesday around 11:15 p.m. The 49-year-old allegedly dangerously threatened his girlfriend (48) and injured her by attacking her neck. However, the victim eventually managed to escape: the woman was able to alert the police.
When several police patrols, the Rapid Intervention Group (SIG), the special task force Cobra and officers from the negotiation group arrived on the scene, the suspected perpetrator was on the roof terrace – he threatened to commit suicide.
Officers used tasers
Attempts to get the man to give up were unsuccessful. Around 12:40 p.m., officers used a Taser in vain to prevent the impending suicide.
The injuries were too serious
The 49-year-old was eventually taken by ambulance with life-threatening injuries. It has now become known that the man died on Friday from his serious injuries.
