The AUA is also suspending flights to Tehran initially until April 18

Date:

Like Lufthansa, AUA is now also suspending flights to and from Tehran. The airline announced this in a press release on Friday.

Due to the escalation between Iran and Israel, the AUA has now also decided to suspend flights until Thursday, April 18, it announced on Friday.

Contact with authorities
Long routes passing through Iranian airspace will be diverted accordingly, the airline said in a statement. The situation in the Middle East is under constant review and we are in close contact with the authorities. AUA parent company Lufthansa had previously canceled its flights to and from Tehran.

Following a suspected Israeli attack on the Iranian embassy complex in Syria in early April, threats from Tehran towards Israel have recently increased. Israel subsequently stated that it would not leave a possible attack by Iran on its territory unanswered.
