A small plane pilot in the US managed to swim ashore with his dog after an emergency landing at sea. A large contingent of rescuers was present, but no medical assistance was required. The plane, on the other hand, is probably at the bottom of the sea.
The pilot and his four-legged friend were en route from Santa Monica to Long Beach, California, on Sunday around 5:20 p.m. when one of the plane’s engines failed. An emergency landing on water was inevitable.
Miraculously, the man and his dog then managed to swim to shore under their own power and completely unharmed. The rescue teams that were on land were not needed. A helicopter search for the wreckage was unsuccessful; the plane probably crashed very quickly.
