Police arrested a speeder in East Tyrol on Sunday afternoon. A 63-year-old drove 62 km/h too fast on Felbertauernstrasse in St. Johann im Walde. The lead foot has now lost his driver’s license.
Around 3 p.m., a patrol from the Matrei police station in East Tyrol carried out speed measurements on Felbertauernstrasse in St. Johann im Walde. A car speed of 162 km/h was measured despite a speed limit of 100 km/h.

“The car was stopped by another police patrol in Matrei in East Tyrol,” the director said. The 63-year-old driver’s driver’s license was confiscated on the spot. He will be reported to the district administration.
