Laila’s grandmother was visiting Kentucky Fried Chicken when a disturbing event occurred

The grandmother said she was “bored” of her disabled 9-year-old granddaughter after visiting Kentucky Fried Chicken. Ann Dean Hunt, 61, has hosted a trip to the fast food chain along with Lily’s career.

The trio went to the local Outport Network on Eastbank Street on Saturday. When they entered, Laila got nervous because of the loud music.

He has learning difficulties and autism. Anna, an eight-year-old grandmother, said she could not calm Laila, who went up to the table and yelled to stop the music.

Speaking to Liverpool Echo, he said: “Laila was able to sit at the table and scream that it was about turning off the music. The whole store got her.

“I explained that he was autistic and asked the cashier if he could turn the music off. He told me he should talk to the manager.”

Then Laila started hitting her head while she was waiting for the music to stop. He said: The tongue started hitting the stomach. He has a stoma, so he was risking serious damage.”

When the employee came back, Anna was told the manager wouldn’t turn off the music and could only turn it off. “The employee didn’t appreciate it very much and apologized, but the manager didn’t even come out to see what was going on,” he said.

Layla, who also suffers from Goldenhar syndrome and has social anxiety, struggles to find activities that she enjoys doing. Her grandmother said, “Because of her autism, she is eager to go out and just loves to do certain things. I was more nervous for Laila because that’s one of the few things she likes to do.”

Anna eventually manages to get Layla off the table, but she has no choice but to leave saying, “I don’t think turning off the music would spoil anyone’s dining experience. It might be sad to watch a child in this state.”

“Since they didn’t stop the music, the situation got worse. I cried and Laila’s disability wasn’t satisfied at all.”

A KFC spokesperson said, “We’re really sorry we didn’t get it right. We want our restaurants to be a welcoming place for everyone and we’re leading the team to make sure that doesn’t happen again. We want to show the family and we’re glad they reached out to our support team to give us a chance.”
